Morris, Trent Michael (Cat)

Trent Michael (Cat) Morris, 65, of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Trent was born on October 19, 1947, in Newbern, Va. In addition to his mother, Lula Jennings Morris, Trent was also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia Morris McPeak, and Roger McPeak; brother, Teeb Jude Morris; and brother-in- law, Raymond Gills. Surviving Trent are his wife of 23 years, Diane Nicewander Morris, of Dublin; brothers, Dale Morris, of Fayetteville, N.C., and Ernest Morris, of Radford; sister, Dreama Gills, of Salem; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Joe and Brenda Bishop, of Dublin, Henry and Vickie Higginbotham, of Pulaski, and Gary and Debi McCoy, of Blacksburg. Trent retired from Holston River Quarry after 28 years and attended Dublin Church of God. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate with the Rev. Charlie Walker, the Rev. Don Sunshine and the Rev. Michael Collins officiating and with visitation two hours prior to services. Interment will follow at Walkers Creek Cemetery, White Gate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mrs. Trent Morris, c/o Dublin Church of God, 632 E. Main Street, Dublin, VA 24084.
