Linkous, John Ken

John Ken Linkous, 68, of Christiansburg, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at New River Valley Medical Center. He was born in Norris Run, on April 8, 1944, to the late Frank and Stella Mae Kessinger Linkous. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Jr., J.W., Ralph, and Lonnie Linkous. He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Linkous, of Christiansburg; daughter, Melissa Linkous, of Florida, stepson, Michael Dolan, of Florida; four grandchildren; and sister, Trudy Hylton, of Natural Bridge. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Smith Family Cemetery, Norris Run with the Rev. Dwayne Martin officiating. The family requests no flowers and that memorial contributions may be made to Smith Family Cemetery, in care of Hampton Smith, 5246 Norris Run Road, Blacksburg, VA 24060. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, prior to the service, at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
