harrison ilene perdueIlene Perdue Harrison, 89, of Harrison Lane, Pearisburg, departed this life for her heavenly home Thursday evening, February 21, 2013, in the loving care of her family and Good Samaritan Hospice. Born in Niday, Bland County January 22, 1924, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Glenna G. Blankenship Perdue. She was a devoted member of Pearisburg Christ Fellowship and was retired from the Celanese Plant with over 40 years of service. Ilene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Luther B. Harrison; her brother, James Perdue; and her sisters, Ruth Russ, Bertha Moran, Edith Goad, and Lilly Smith. She leaves to cherish her memory her six daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Jim Gallimore, of Cleveland, Tenn., Paulette Phillips, of Narrows, Glenna Mann, of Pearisburg, Benita H. Bradds, of Verona, Sandy Ingram, of Pearisburg, Patricia and Richard Glaholt, of Ripplemead; her 10 grandchildren; her 13 great-grandchildren; her brother, Roven Perdue, of Ripplemead; and her sisters, Maxine Agee, of Narrows, and Cloye Bird of New Haven, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, with entombment following in Birchlawn Abbey at Pearisburg.
