Dewey E. Moore, 92, of Christiansburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 4, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Moore; son, Jerry Moore; grandson, Daniel Moore; and a great-granddaughter, Hannah Moore. He is survived by his daughter, Louise Simmons, of Roanoke; two sons and daughter in-laws, Bobby and Brenda Moore, of Christiansburg, Jackie and Wanda Moore, of Pulaski; nine grandchildren, Kenny Simmons, Patricia Gordon, David Simmons, Michael Simmons, Crystal Moore, Bobbi Marconyak, Angie Moore, Kim Moore, Jackie Moore Jr.; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Carlos and Betty Moore. Dewey will be greatly missed by family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
