Cromer, Paul Anthony

Paul Anthony Cromer, 46, of Blacksburg, born May 27, 1966, went to his heavenly home surrounded by his loving family Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Paul is preceded in death by his father, Paul Franklin Cromer; and his stepbrother, Christopher Barr. He is survived by his two daughters, Cassandra Lynn Lochner and Chelsea Yvonne Cromer, both of Blacksburg. Also surviving are his loving mother and stepfather, Lou Ella and Charlie Barr, of Blacksburg; his sisterm Carolyn “Pug” Cromer, of Blacksburg; and stepbrother, Jody Barr, of Columbia, S.C. ; aunts and uncles, Yvonne Nash and Larry Miles, of Scottsdale, Ariz., Daniel and Jo Lynn Price, of Blacksburg, and Dallas Linkous, of Blacksburg. Paul is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and special friends, Todd McCoy, Denson and Vickie Graham, and Jimmy and Bridget Mitcham. Paul was employed by Virgina Tech for 15 years, Westwood and JSW Cable installation companies for seven years and employed at ATK in Radford for four years. Paul loved the outdoors hunting, fishing and hiking. He was very interested in gold mining and metal detecting, but his greatest accomplishment was raising his two daughters, Cassie and Chelsea. The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for all the love and support shown to Paul and the family during his illness. Memorial services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013, in the New Mt. Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Richard Bansemer officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice, 1160 Moose Drive NW, Christiansburg, VA 24073.
