Kessinger, Cecil Howard

Cecil Howard Kessinger, 77, of Newport, departed this life on Sunday, January 20, 2013. He was born on April 21, 1935, to the late Raymond H. and Lottie S. Kessinger, of Newport. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his wife of 53 years, Lula Wilson Kessinger. He is survived by his children, Pamela Kessinger (Michael Donnini), of Buchanan, Patricia (Dennis) Echols, of Newport, and Randy Kessinger, of Newport; and by his three beloved granddaughters, Anastasia, Valentina, and Natalia Donnini. Cecil was retired from Virginia Tech. However, his true avocations were gardening and the day-to-day operation of his cattle farm. Visitation will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, Blacksburg. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Roger Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
