Farmer, Francis Harold

Francis Harold Farmer, age 84, of the Shiloh Community of Pulaski County died Thursday night, December 6, 2012 at his residence. He was born on November 5, 1928 to the late Ethel Owens Farmer and Haven Howe Farmer. Francis was a retired butcher for Kroger, and was a member of the Shiloh Christian Church, and a member of the Pulaski Moose Lodge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters; Evelyn Taylor and Edith Rorrer. He is survived by his wife, Artie Marshall Farmer: two sons; Darrell E. Farmer of Shiloh, and Rodney D. Farmer and his wife Jane of Shiloh: one daughter; Frances Ann Duncan and her husband Earl (Chipper) of Shiloh: two brothers; Melvin Farmer and his wife Jean of Winston-Salem, NC, and Ernest Farmer of Bristol, VA: a sister; Annis Farris of Newbern. Also survived by four grandchildren: Heath Duncan of Shiloh, Autum Duncan and Fiancé, Scotty Proctor of Dublin, Shane Farmer and his wife Jessica of Shiloh, and Chance Farmer of Shiloh, along with two great-great grandchildren; Courtney Duncan of Pulaski, and Sydney Proctor of Dublin. Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 11, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Sizemore officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. service time. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Newbern Christian Church or to Shiloh Cemetery.
