Martin, Daisy Irene Padgett

Daisy Irene Padgett Martin, 77, of Draper, Va., passed away Thursday, February 22, 2007 at her residence.

She was born February 10, 1930 in Wythe County, daughter of the late William Heath and Rachel Gardner Padgett. She was a member of the River of Life Ministries (Poplar Camp Church of God of Prophecy) and was preceded in death by her husband, Orborn M. Martin, one son, Danny M. Martin, four brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by one son, Dennis Martin of Draper; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Larry Workman of Radford, Deborah Seagle of Draper, Lynn Martin and Scott Forsyth of Richmond; two grandsons and spouse, Jeremiah and Jamie Seagle of Roanoke, Thomas Seagle III of Ashburn; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ruth and Chuck Mens of Bedford; her beloved cat, “Buster”; several nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 26, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Samuel Hall and the Rev. Sonny Ayers officiating. Interment will follow in the West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Arrangements by Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, Va.
