dillon james paul jrJames Paul Dillon Jr., 89, of Narrows, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Riverview Nursing Home, Rich Creek, Va. Born on May 31, 1923, at Red Sulphur Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late James Paul Sr. and Harriet A. Miller Dillon. James was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church at Pearisburg, Va. He was a United States Army Air Corps veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret “Mary Jane” Hall Dillon; one son, James Patrick Dillon; and a brother, Brian Dillon. Survivors include one son, Michael L. Dillon and wife, Joyce, of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Elizabeth Mabis, of Narrows, Va., and Suzanne Stuttlemyer and husband, Richard, of Hedgesville, W.Va.; two brothers, Elwood Dillon and wife, Anna, of Earlysville, Va., and Kenneth Dillon and wife, Irene, of Raleigh, N.C.; one sister, Kathryn Morgan, of Lewisburg, W.Va.; six grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; and one great- great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown, W.Va., with Barry Harper officiating. Burial will follow in the Peterstown Cemetery, Giles County, Va. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of the services at the funeral home.
