Slusher, Ruby Mahone

Ruby Mahone Slusher, 94, of Pulaski, died on Thursday afternoon, November 8, 2012, in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Wythe County on June 6, 1918, and was the daughter of the late Fred Mahone and Burlie Wright Mahone. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eldridge Stewart Slusher. She was a retired employee of Jefferson Mills, Pulaski with 25 years of service. She was a member of the Glenwood United Methodist Church and she attended the Abundant Life Ministries. Surviving is her special niece, Suellen Palmer, of Barren Springs. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2012, from Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randall Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be held on Sunday from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the service hour. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va., 540-980-2600.
