Deweese, Lora Juanita Nance

Lora Juanita Nance Deweese, age 77 of Draper, died Thursday October 18, 2012 in Lewis Gale Hospital – Pulaski. She was born on October 17, 1935 in Giles County and was the daughter of the late Lura Elkins Nance and William Earl Nance. She was a retired nurses aide, and attended the Peak Creek Mission of Prayer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Raymond Deweese, 3 sisters, and five brothers and a great-grandchild, Jordan Leann Meadows. She is survived by her children: Bryan Meadows and his fiancé Karen of Draper, Brenda Weatherly and her husband Terry of Princeton, Wva, and Melinda Griffith and her husband Gordon of Pulaski, and a sister; Annie Perdue of Pearisburg. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, along with two special friends, Nancy and Martha. Funeral services will be held Monday October 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Akers officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home from 12 Noon until 2:00 p.m. service time.
