Johnson, Albert (Peanut)

Albert (Peanut) Johnson, 95, of Christiansburg, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 8, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mamie Johnson; daughter and son- in-law, Annie M. and William Dewese; as well as several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Mildred Jarrett and husband, Bobby J.; grandchildren, Joseph and Theresa Hagy, Marie and Tim Akers, Steven Dewese and Wayne Dewese; and great- grandchildren, Amy Bainbridge, Shaun Hagy and Matthew Akers; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special thanks to the folks at Country Kitchen and to the Medi Home Health & Hospice for the great care they took of Peanut. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2720 Roanoke Street, Christiansburg. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at the Harbor of Hope Church with the Rev. Richard Kingrea, Pastor Buford Linkous and the Rev. Frankie Graham officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
