Perdue, Donna Lynn

Donna Lynn Perdue, 59, formerly of Narrows, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012. She was born in Princeton, W.Va., on October 15, 1952, and was the daughter of the late Kelly Edward and Kathleen Thomas Perdue. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ellen Perdue. She was a retired employee of Celanese Acetate in Narrows with 35 years of service. An avid traveler, Donna visited all fifty states, but enjoyed beach trips the most. She was also an active supporter of veterans organizations, including the American Legion and VFW. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Ron Smith of Salem, her caregivers with whom she made her home for the past three and a half years; a special niece, Kara Smith; and Donna’s canine buddy, Mandy. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2012, in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Tony Reed, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Chapel Saturday from noon until just prior to the service.
