Griffith, Tara Lynn

Tara Lynn Griffith, 40, formerly of Radford, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. Tara was born on February 11, 1972. Surviving are her husband, Mark Griffith, of Kernersville, N.C.; daughter, Carly; son, Connor; mother, Nancy Brooks; sister, Erin Church (Richard); and brother, Jeff Brooks. Tara also leaves behind her beloved niece, Aynslee Church; nephew, Xander Church; aunts, uncles and cousins; and many close friends. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Hayworth- Miller-Kernersville Chapel, 141 Smith Edwards Road, Kernersville, N.C., 27284, (336) 993-2136, with Pastor Jamie Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2012, at the funeral home and also from 9 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service. The final burial will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2012, at the Phillippi Cemetery in Mountain City, Tenn.
