Epperly, Mary Basham
Mary Basham Epperly, 94 of Floyd, VA went to her heavenly home on the morning of Tuesday, September 18, 2012. She loved spending time in her flower gardens, doing embroidery work, working puzzles, and making many treasured memories with her family and friends. She was a member of Camp Bethel United Methodist Church for 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Winston R. “Buck” Epperly, father, BH Basham, mother Olivia S. Basham, brothers, Earl Basham and Gene Basham, sisters Katherine Link, Minnie Light, Thelma Charlton, Beulah Brammer. She is survived by the light of her life, her great-grandson, James M. “Jamie” Belcher. Her children Rose E. Basham and husband James A. “Jim” Basham, H. Randolph “Randy” Epperly and fiancée Lori Kaluska, all of Floyd. Grandchildren Kesha B. Belcher and husband Jonathan W. “John” Belcher of Floyd, Kelly J. Epperly and fiancée Brantley T. Walden, of Christiansburg, and Travis W. Epperly, of Floyd. Cousin Marshall Basham of Chattaroy, WV, sister-in-law Lois M. Basham of Christiansburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. Very special friends Carolyn Troutt, Peggy B. Beran, and Jonathan J. “JJ” Guthrie, all of Floyd, and Jimmy Childress of San Francisco, CA. Friends may call after 1:00 pm. on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Gardner Funeral Home where the family will be from 5pm – 7 pm. Funeral will take place at 11 am on Friday, September 21, 2012 at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at St. Matthews Cemetery. Pastor Darlene Marshall officiating.
