Lester, Earl Wayne

Earl Wayne Lester, 63 of Dublin died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007 in the Lewis Gale Hospital, Salem. He was born on March 21, 1943 in Tazewell County and was the son of the late Rex Cecil Lester and Pearl Lee Blankinship Lester. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Alma Jean Akers Lester.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Lester Sipe and Michael P. Sipe, Dublin; grandson, Evan Lucas Sipe, Dublin; brothers and sisters, Nancy L. Carico, Newberry, S.C., Lyle P. Lester, Lebanon, Va., Margaret A. Sboray, York, Penn., Billy D. Lester, Cedar Bluff, Va., Martha L. Ferrell, Graham, N.C., Betty Cecil Mraz, New Castle, Penn., James R. Lester, Cedar Bluff, Va. and Della Mae Russell, Monroe, La.

A memorial service will be held today at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Sizemore officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
