Turner, Betty Eads

Betty Eads Turner, 84 of Pearisburg went home to be with her Lord on Friday, August 24th, 2012. She was born in Giles County on October 1st, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Ernest Charles and Eileen Coburn Eads. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her former husband, James Lee Turner; and a brother, Edgar Dow Eads. Betty loved cooking, crafts and sewing, even making afghans and sweaters for her family. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and sister, she will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Left to cherish her memory are three sons, Jim Turner and wife Mary of Pearisburg, John Allen Turner and wife Eugenia of Peterstown, and Scott Lee Turner of Peterstown; a daughter, Linda T. Vaught of Pearisburg; ten grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and three special family members. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 27th, 2012 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Tony Reed, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service Sunday from 6 to 8 PM.
