Rutherford, Kathleen Covey

Kathleen Covey Rutherford, 95, of Radford, passed away Monday, August 13, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents Dave and Bessie Farmer Covey, her husband of 50 years Edward Hale “Pee Wee” Rutherford, a sister Edna Phillips and a brother Garland Covey. Survivors include her son Michael (Linda) Rutherford; grandson Todd (Emily) Rutherford; great grandson Ethan Hale Rutherford; great granddaughter Courtney (Marcus) Johnson; great great granddaughter Cecilla Johnson; sister Virginia Atkins; sister-in-law Freddie Rutherford; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. David A. Kent officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home. The Rutherford family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
