Hare, Stephen Frank

Stephen Frank Hare, 62, of Pulaski, died Friday, August 3, 2012, in the Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem, N.C., following a lengthy illness. Stephen was born in Pulaski on April 30, 1950, and was the son of the late Frank and Ruth Hopkins Hare. He was also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Charles Quesenberry. Stephen was a lineman with Appalachian Power Co., and a life-member of the Pulaski Moose Lodge and the American Legion Post #7. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 18 years, Nedra Tabor Hare; daughters and sons-in-law, Leigh and Chucky Blankenship and Shannon and Derek White; son, Jason Hare; grandchildren, Graison and Rachel Blankenship, and Lindsey White; stepsons, Chris Smith and Chucky Underwood; stepgrandchildren, Stacy and Gage Smith; special cousins, Danny and Linda Hopkins and Larry and Barbara Harrell; uncles and aunts, Marion and Nora Hopkins, Thomas and Nancy Hopkins, Junior Hopkins, Arbutus Hopkins, Connie Hopkins, Juanita Hopkins; nephew, Greg Quesenberry and his family; niece and husband, Susan and Gary Quesenberry; and numerous cousins. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2012, from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. Visiting will be Thursday at Stevens Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
