Bishop, Michael Anthony

Michael Anthony Bishop, 51, of Floyd, died Friday, July 27, 2012. He was born in Radford on October 1, 1960. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lynn Moore; his maternal grandparents, Iva and George Bishop; and his father, Jack Bishop. He is survived by his two sons, Andrew Robert Chew, of Blacksburg, Jordan Dakota Bishop, of Dublin; mother and father, Alma and Dexter Davis, of Floyd; two sisters and brother-in-law, Pat Keister, of Christiansburg, Ann and Bud Merrill, of Floyd; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Martha Bishop, of Radford; ex-wife, Stella Gann; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2012, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shake Smith and the Rev. Allen Vass officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The KDH Hodgkins Foundation, 9 Lakeshore Blvd, Massapequa, NY 11758. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
