Jones, Aubrey Jackson

Aubrey Jackson Jones, 83, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. He was born in Montgomery County, Va., on February 9, 1929, to the late Aubrey Jackson Sr. and Annie Bradford Jones. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maude Sarver Jones; two daughters, Evelyn Lucille Slusher and Mary Lee Spencer; two grandsons, Ronald Eugene Womack and James Michael Mabry Jr.; brother, Irvin Jones; and sister, Dorothy Noonan. He is survived by his daughters, Emma Jane Womack, Juanita Gale Gibson and husband, Larry, and Virginia Ruth Jones Robinson, all of Christiansburg; son and daughter-in-law, Robert J. Early and wife, Linda, of Christiansburg; two sisters, Betty Vincil, of Clindenon, Va., and Rachel Allen, of Pearisburg, Va.; brothers, Willie Jones, of Pearisburg, Kelly Jones, of Christiansburg, and Minor Jones, of Pearisburg; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; seven great- great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2012, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earnest Fulcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday evening, July 13, 2012, at the McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg, Va.
