Montgomery, Edward Lewis (Baggy)
Edward Lewis (Baggy) Montgomery, 79, of Dublin, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012. He was born on March 23, 1933, in Dublin, served under the Marines during the Korean War, and later retired from Kirby-Vass Insulation. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Ilene Montgomery; children and spouses, Doug and Sally Buckland, Curtis and Rene Buckland, Dorthy Damron, Rhonda and Larry Myers, Donna and Grover Gravely, Debra and Frank Turpin, Eddie and Becky Montgomery, and Pete Buckland; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Bobby Pence (nephew), and Rusty Freeman. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday June 4, 2012 at DeVilbiss Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Minnick officiating. Interment will follow at the Montgomery Cemetery, Dublin, where Military Graveside Services will be conducted by VFW Post 776. The family will receive friends 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service beginning at 2 p.m. Arrangements by DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford.
