Thomas (Tommy) Williams, 80, of the Hoges Chapel Community at Pembroke, died Tuesday morning, January 23, 2007 at Friendship Manor in Roanoke.
Born in Giles County on June 4, 1926, he was a son of the late Strother and Fannie Collins Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, former wife and mother of his sons, Elizabeth “Liz” Martin Hungate; three brothers, Frank Williams, Fonzie Collins, Haven Collins; three sisters, Mary Helen Atkins, Margie Myers, Florence Caldwell.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Donnie Williams and friend Mike Polek of Elliston, Doug and wife Gail Williams of McCoy; four stepdaughters, Patsy Martin of Radford, Mary Alice Lucas of Pearisburg, Frankie Whittaker of McCoy, Sally Stafford of Blacksburg; grandchildren, Nichole (Brian) Davis of McCoy, Keith (Amy) Williams of McCoy; a great-grandson, Tyler Davis of McCoy; a sister, Fannie Myers of Hoges Chapel; several beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following at the Strother Williams Cemetery at Boyds Chapel near Pembroke. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
