Bowles, Walter Daniel

Walter Daniel Bowles, 84, of Elliston, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012. He was born in Ironto on July 2, 1927. He is predeceased by parents, Daniel James (Dan) and Gracie Gertrude Wheeling Bowles, brother, Leslie Bowles, and sister, Macie Duff. Survivors include wife of 59 years, Norma Frances Kirk Bowles; beloved son Thomas Daniel Bowles and wife, Rosa; three grandchildren, Sunni Cassell, Thomas Kraft, and Billy Moss; six great-grandchildren; brother Essie Bowles and wife, Phyllis; sister-in-law, Dorothy Bowles; special sister-in-law, Janice Womack. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with beloved Pastor Keith Graves officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
