Glisson, Wanda Maxine

Wanda Maxine Glisson, 81, of Radford, passed away, Tuesday April 10, 2012. She is preceded in death by a son, Alan Glisson; granddaughter, Chasity Sunshine Lee Glisson; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and G.E. Powers; and a brother, Arville Burke. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Eugene Glisson; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Shirley Glisson, Dr. Marty and Amy Glisson, Daron Glisson, Chris and Sara Glisson; grandchildren, Brian, Erin, Joshua, Rebeccah, Chelsea, and Savana; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Summer; sisters and spouses, Christine and J.C. Akers, Lavon and Truman Conley; brothers and spouses, Grandville Burke, Kenneth and Lois Burke, and Ronald and Bernice Burke; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her niece, Pam Frith, for all of her loving care and devotion. The Glisson family would also like to thank Carilion Hospice and the staff at Heritage Hall. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, at DeVilbiss Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Everette Shepherd, the Rev. David Kent, the Rev. Sebert Rorrer, and the Rev. Jube Burk officiating. Interment will follow at the Belmont Cemetery, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012, at the funeral home.
