Burrows, Laura Morris

Laura Morris Burrows, 87, of Blacksburg, died Friday, January 27, 2006 at Kroontje Health Care Center. She was born in Factoryville, Pa. on June 10, 1918 to the late A. V. and Katherine Michael Morris and was also preceded in death by her husband, John Stephen Burrows.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John Morris and Sidney Burrows of Cleveland, Ohio, Stephen Michael and Donna Burrows of Raleigh, N.C.; five grandchildren, Kevin Michael Burrows, Wendy Burrows Burgess, Shannon Burrows, Brian Burrows, Christy Burrows Gorman and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted Monday, January 30, 2006 at 11 a.m. in Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg with the Rev. Claud MacCauley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to A. V. Morris Professorship, c/o Virginia Tech University Development, Pack Building, Blacksburg, VA 24060.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg.
