Owens, Terry Gene

Terry Gene Owens, 58, of Pulaski, died Friday night, March 16, 2012, at his home. He was born in Pulaski on July 14, 1953 and was the son of the late Early Gilbert Owens and Faye Edith Cole Owens. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Faye Worrell. He was an employee of Coca-Cola. Surviving are his daughter, Wendy Akers, Pulaski; granddaughter, Tana Akers, Pulaski; sisters and brother-in-law, Renita Owens, Pulaski, Connie and Charles Tallant Jr., Pulaski; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gilbert “Skeeter” and Barbara Owens, Pulaski, Scott and Teresa Owens, Pulaski, Johnny and Sharon Owens, Blacksburg. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Timothy West officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski. Visiting will be Tuesday evening from the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. The family will be meeting at the residence of the daughter, Wendy Akers, 1029 Lee Highway, Pulaski, Va.
