Hawley, Kent

Kent Hawley, 87, of Christiansburg, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012, in the Catawba Hospital. The son of the late Edward Lee and Lucy Duncan Hawley, he was the last of nine children. Early in his life he was a short time employee of the Lynchburg Foundry, and was a lifetime farmer, who greatly enjoyed farming. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff of both Radford Nursing and Rehab and the Catawba Hospital for the care they showed him. A public visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Horne Funeral Home with Funeral Services following at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel.
