Vivian M. Bolt, 77, of Willis, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 13, 2012. Vivian enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, canning, going to church, eating out, stock car racing, and traveling to Myrtle Beach and the Smokey Mountains. She was a member of the Buffalo Mountain Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Jessie and Belle Bolt; brother, Roy Bolt; and her son, Gary L. Bolt. She is survived by her husband, Nelson Ray Bolt, of Willis; sons and daughters-in-law, Alton W. and Gail M. Bolt, of Troutville, and Donnie R. and Linda H. Bolt, of Willis; granddaughter, Jennifer Hicks and husband, Matt, of Rock Point, N.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Jessie Jr. and Marie Bolt, of Mt. Airy, N.C.; sisters, Hazel Yeatts, of Floyd, and Vera Parsons, of Mt. Airy, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Judson Milan and Pastor Gregory Poff officiating. Interment will follow in the Willis Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at the funeral home.
