Yousten, Anna Katherine

Anna Katherine Yousten, 73, of Blacksburg, died Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. She was born in Wise County on February 22, 1938. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Richardson, son, Kenneth Yousten. She was an avid gardener and member of the Master Gardener’s Association. She had been employed by TRW Corp., Wang Laboratories, Litton Poly Scientific and retired from MOOG. She was a mentor and friend to the community where she shared her artistic talents and time. She is survived by her husband, Allan A. Yousten, of Blacksburg; children, Teresa Ann Kiser-Williams and husband, David, of Colonial Heights, Tamara Leah Kiser-Sparks and husband, David, of Los Angeles, Calif., William Christopher Kiser and wife, Linda, of Colonial Heights, Joanne Elizabeth Yousten, of St. Albans, Vt.; mother, Roma Richardson, of Wise; 21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Louella Perry, of Wise, Sue and Wayne Brickey, of Kingsport, Tenn.; brother, Gary Richardson, of Wise; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 4 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tommy McDearis officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Montgomery County, P. O. Box 287, Blacksburg, Va. 24063 or to the National Ataxia Foundation, 2600 Fernbrook Lane, Suite 119, Minneapolis, MN 55447. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg, Va.
