Jones, Dorothy Leigh Harrell

amem_autumn-home.jpgDorothy Leigh Harrell Jones, 70, of the Mt. Olivet Community of Pulaski, died on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at her residence. She was born on February 16, 1941, in Wythe County, and was the daughter of the late Zeola Hopkins Harrell and James Eugene Harrell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Duane Jones Sr.; sons, Franklin Duane “F.D.” Jones Jr., and Charles “Ricky” Jones; a brother, James Eugene Harrell; and a sister, Shirley Catron.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Jones Thomas and her husband, Richard, of Pulaski; one granddaughter, Amanda Matney; three grandsons, Duane Thomas, Glendon Jones, and Matthew Jones; one very special great- grandson, Camden Matney; one brother, Larry Harrell, of Pulaski; three sisters, Juanita Bourne, of Wythe County, Ida Moore, of Dublin, and Audrey Hamblin, of Austinville; and her daughter-in-law, Amy Jones, of Pulaski.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Seagle Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Hufford Cemetery, Mt. Olivet. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, January 20, 2012, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
