Light, Billy Howard

Billy Howard Light, 64, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. He is preceded in death by his mother, Capitola Light.

He is survived by his father, Archie Light, and his stepmother, Joyce Light, of Christiansburg; his companion, Lois Howard, of Christiansburg; one sister, Joyce Harris and husband, Winfred; one brother, David Light and wife, Terry; one foster brother, James Farley and wife, Joyce, all of Christiansburg; one stepbrother, Jackie Akers and wife, Ellen, of Floyd; one niece, Teresa Patrick and husband, Mark, of Christiansburg; two nephews, Randy Harris and wife, Roberta of Ironto, Kenny Light and wife, Michelle of Christiansburg; one great-niece, Ashley Patrick; one great-nephew, Stephen Patrick, both of Christiansburg; one uncle, Ray Light and wife, Frances, of Salem; two cousins, Michael Light and wife, Lisa, of Salem and Nancy Huffman, of Christiansburg.

Billy worked at Wolverine for many years.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 19, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Roy Turpin, the Rev. Jube Burk and the Rev. Everett Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
