Boadwine, Hazel Carpenter
Hazel Carpenter Boadwine, 81, of Pulaski, went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “P-Nut” Boadwine; parents, Howard B. and Clara P. Carpenter; and sisters, Blanche Dishon and Linnie Phillips. She was a faithful member of Memorial Christian Church in Draper. Hazel was retired from the Town of Pulaski Police Department, where she served for many years as the crossing guard for Jefferson Elementary School and meter maid. Before her illness and the death of her husband, she enjoyed playing golf. Hazel is survived by two sons, Dan and Mike and wife, Linda; four grandsons, Brian and wife Kacy, Greg, Josh and Adam; her church family at Memorial Christian Church; and special caregivers who provided care for her during the last few years of her illness. The family extends sincere thanks for the kindness and care provided by Good Samaritan Hospice. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at Stevens Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will immediately follow with Johnny Howlett officiating. Graveside Service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at Thornspring Cemetery.
