Sarah Elizabeth Shinault Branscom, age 87 formerly of Dublin passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC. Born December 7, 1924 in Pulaski she was the daughter of the late Franklin Shinault & Dora Gravely Shinault Akers. Her husband, Durward Vincent Branscom and sister, Ruth Farris also preceded her in death. She is survived by her Son & Daughter-in-law- Jeffrey Vincent & Janice Roberts Branscome – King, NC., Grandchildren- Tara Branscome Johnson & husband, Paul – King, NC., Nathaniel Vincent Branscome & wife, Meredith – Kernersville, NC. Great Grandchildren- Tyler Andrew Johnson, Eli Vaden Branscome, Indy Maverick Branscome, VinLuke Gideon Branscome and Lola Ayre Ellura Branscome. Sisters & Brother-in-law- Ellen Adams – Bland, VA., Margaret Friend – Max Meadows, VA., Jane & Garland Harris – Radford, VA. Brother & Sister-in-law- William Frank & Freddie Shinault – Hope Mills, NC. A number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Delmar Stilwell, Jr. (nephew) officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg, VA. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time..
