Spangler, Nora Sue James

Nora Sue James Spangler, 61, of Floyd, passed away December 31, 2011 after a courageous fight with cancer. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Spangler. Survivors include father and mother, Billy and Mary Anne James; sister, Dianne Dinan and husband, John; daughters and sons-in- law, Karie and Brandon Wade and Katie and Eric Holfield; stepsons, George Spangler and special friend, Michelle Ouellette and Brian and wife, Melissa, Spangler; grandchildren, Karleigh Wade, Preslie Holfield, Heather, Liz, and Camden Spangler; great-grandchild, Nigel; and her loving and faithful companion dog, Rocky. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Floyd United Methodist Church with the Rev. Roy Turpin and the Rev. Gene Koger officiating. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Floyd County Humane Society, P.O. Box 862, Floyd, VA 24091.
