Callahan, Mary Jean

Mary Jean Callahan, 85, of Blacksburg, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 14, 2011. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who loved to cook, bake and play bingo with her friends at Warm Hearth Village. Mary was also a Gold Star Mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben Klotz and Kathryn Pokryzwa Klotz; her husband, Raymond Walter Callahan Sr.; sons, Raymond Walter Callahan Jr. (KIA 1969 Vietnam), Ronald Lee Callahan; and her brother, Edward Klotz. She is survived by her children, Richard and Carrie Callahan, of Dublin, and Laura and Jon Barron, of Montpelier; daughter-in-law, Nancy Callahan; grandchildren, Cristy and Todd Rasko, Eron and Crista Callahan, Chad and Julie Callahan, Raymond Callahan, Lynsey Callahan, Elaina Barron and Joel Barron; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Phillip, Kylie, Patrick, Ana and Shane; sisters, Francis Kohan and Helen Lundbeck; plus many special family members and friends. A private celebration of life will be held at Ozog Funeral Home in Johnstown, Pa., 1 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
