Trevey, Anna Rinsland Giles
Anna Rinsland Giles Trevey, 101, of Blacksburg, formerly of Lynchburg, died Tuesday December 13, 2011, at the Showalter Center, Warm Hearth Village, Blacksburg. She was the widow of Joseph Oscar Trevey. Born in Hinton, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late George Herman and Lena Bosserman Rinsland. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Robert H. Giles Sr.; and a sister, Mrs. Doral E. (Kitty) Irvin. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Mrs. Trevey is survived by son, Robert H. Giles Jr., of Blacksburg; granddaughters, Anne (Iain) Clelland, of Blacksburg, and Margaret (Dennis) Galecki, Radford, and their children, Alan, Ben, and Mary Wiley, Jim, Catherine, and Caroline Galecki; son, George R. (Lena) Giles Sr., of Morristown, Tenn.; grandson, George R. (Holly) Giles Jr., and children, Savannah Britt and Luke Giles, of Franklin; granddaughters, Mary Ellen (Scott) Herbert, and their children, Courtney, Jessica, and Kyle Herbert, of Metairie, La., and Carole (William) Neale, and children Hannah, Thomas, Rebecca, and Rachel Neale, of Greensboro, N.C. She is also survived by niece, Kay Hughes Dunn, of Lynchburg; and nephew, John Irvin, of Cooperstown, N.Y. Many thanks to Warm Hearth Village staff and Good Samaritan Hospice for their loving care. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. It will be followed by a reception for family and friends.
