Wright, Dorothy Weddle

Dorothy Weddle Wright, 79, of Blacksburg died Sunday, December 11, 2011 at New River Valley Medical Center. She was born in Willis, VA on February 11, 1932 to the late Hayden and Laura Keith Weddle. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila Annette Wright, and great-grandson, Tyler Cole Smith. She is survived by her husband, A. Wendell Wright; two daughters, Kathy and Samuel Creggar, of Blacksburg, Debbie and Neal Willard, Riner; daughter-granddaughter, Melissa (Missy) Smith, Blacksburg; grandchildren, Amanda Creggar, Michael Creggar, both of Blacksburg; a great-grandson, Dustin Smith, Blacksburg; her brother, Melvin Weddle, Pilot. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Calvin Hixon officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 noon until service time at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
