Linkous, Marlin Ray

Marlin Ray Linkous, 45, of Blacksburg, died on Sunday, October 23, 2011, at his home. He was born in Radford, Va., on May 22, 1966. He is survived by his mother and father, Marlin and Patsy Linkous, of Blacksburg; a sister, Rebecca Linkous; a brother, Gary Linkous, both of Blacksburg; a former brother- in-law, Boyd Credit, of Lancaster, Texas; and special friend, Eric Effinger, of Blacksburg. Graveside Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2011, in the Hiram John Linkous family cemetery with the Rev. Buford Linkous and the Rev. John Early officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening, October 26, 2011, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg, Va.
