Jones, Ruth

Ruth Jones, 84, of Pembroke, died on Monday, October 24, 2011, at Heritage Hall. She was born in West Virginia on May 23, 1927, to the late John Edward and Minnie Smith Wyer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy James Jones; a daughter, Karen Lee Arnold; and a son, John Edward Jones. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kitty and Robert Devereaux, of Pembroke; beloved daughter-in-law, Nicole Jones, of Florida; and five grandchildren, Shelley and Annette Devereaux, Jackie Semmens and husband, John, and Jacob and Julie Jones. Graveside Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2011, in the Jones Cemetery, East Lynn, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Friday evening, October 28, 2011, with an prayer service at 7 p.m. at the McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
