John-Erik Gustav Liljenvall, 66, of Blacksburg, died Thursday October 13, 2011. John was born in Sweden to Axel Gunnar and Ingrid Liljenvall. John was predeceased in death by his parents and wife, Jeanne Marie Harris Liljenvall. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Anna Marie; brothers, Hans-Gunnar and Charlie. John is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Left to cherish his memory are his many friends from Sweden, Blacksburg, and from his 40 years of service to Volvo. John was thrilled anticipating the birth of his first grandson in January. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Lewis-Gale Montgomery ICU for their compassionate care.
