Smith, Lottie Louise Hamlin

Lottie Louise Hamlin Smith, 88, of Blacksburg, died Saturday, September 24, 2011. She was born in Montgomery County, VA on January 25, 1923 to the late James Silas and Eva Melissa Hutchison Hamlin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James William Smith; three sisters, Reba Lorraine Linkous, Katherine Snider, and Gertie Hamlin; and a brother, Cleve Hamlin. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda S. and Danny Wylam, of Christiansburg; her son and daughter-in-law, Monte B. and Bonnie Smith, of Christiansburg; two grandchildren, Aaron Wylam, Tempe, Arizona, Elaine Smith,Mt. Airy, North Carolina; a sister-in-law, Phoebe Hamlin, of Blacksburg; a brother-in-law, H.M. Smith, of Blacksburg; numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmie Lee Price officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Counrty Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
