Davis, Bernice Lillian Axton

Bernice Lillian Axton Davis, 83, of Pulaski, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2011, peacefully at her home. Born on July 8, 1928, in Washington County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Axton and Fronia Mae Axton of Damascus, Va. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Sterl H. Davis; and sisters, Ruth Snyder and Gladys Axton. She was retired from Jefferson Mills with over 20 years of service. She is survived by one sister, Ruby Axton Ramos, of Beaumont, Texas; children, Patricia Davis-Mullins and husband, David Mullins-Linden, of North Carolina, Linda Sue Davis, of Pulaski, Jim Davis and wife, Teresa H. Davis, of Newbern, Ricky Lee Davis, Robin J. Davis, and Lisa Davis Cole and husband, David Cole, all of Pulaski; grandchildren, CPT. David Andrew Mullins and wife, Janice Manguerra, of Ft. Irvin, Calif., Sara Davis Hash and husband, Andrew Channing Hash, Brandon Lee Davis and wife, Barbara Davis, Austin Tyler Davis, Jessica Erin Davis, Parker Davis, Haley Danielle Cole, Christinia Ortiz-Shaemaker, and Miranda Lucia; and eight great- grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 25, 2011, in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 24, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
