Stevers, Bonnie Gillespie
Bonnie Gillespie Stevers, 68, formerly of Pearisburg, departed this life Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Bland County Nursing and Rehab Center in Bastian, Va. Born in Monroe County, W.Va. on February 16, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Oatie and Alice Dillon Gillespie. She was a graduate of Pearisburg High School, Class of 1960, and had worked for many years as a CNA. She leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters and sons-in-law, Mitzi and Dewayne Wilburn of Blacksburg, and Lisa and Mark Sigmon of Princeton, W.Va.; her two beloved grandchildren, Michelle Wagner and Craig Wilburn of Narrows; her great-grandchild, Memphis Wagner; “her loving sister” and brother-in-law, Linda and John French of Hollybrook; her former husband and most trusted and best friend, Roy Fletcher of Narrows; her best friends with whom she worked Linda McGuire, Jennifer Musselman, Ann Poff, all of Christiansburg, and Amanda Bain of Florida; her nieces, Tabitha Dax and Samantha French; and her nephews, Jordan Fisher, Jeremy Dax and John French, Jr.; and also her church family at Bethel Chapel where she was a proud member for several years. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow Street, Pembroke, with “her loving Pastor” Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery on Guinea Mt.
