Harris, Stanley LeRoy

Stanley LeRoy Harris, age 65 of Hiwassee passed away Friday-September 16, 2011 at his home. Born December 3, 1945 in Pulaski County ,he was the son of the late Cora Bell Harris. His wife; Nancy Jane Cook Harris, sister; Helen Shafransky and brother; Cecil Harris also preceded him in death. He was retired from Blackstone Paving Company in Hiwassee and was a member of the Hiwassee Fire Department for 42 years. He is survived by his Daughters- Dreama Thomas – Hillsville, Lena J. Cooke – Dublin. Grandchildren- Dustin Lee Thomas & wife, Shannon Thomas, Shannan Marie Cooke, Amanda Dawn Jarrells, Lesli Victoria Thomas, Cameron Anthony Cooke, Great Grandchildren- Beth Routh- Peyton Routh- Tristen Thomas- Elyssa Thomas- Cameron Cooke II-Jordyn Cooke. Sister- Minnie Davis – Pulaski. 2 nephews and a niece. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 1:00 p.m., September 21, 2011 in the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski. Interment will follow at the Thornspring Cemetery, Pulaski. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Bower Funeral Home-Pulaski.
