Willard, Dean Elwin

Dean Elwin Willard, 51, of Blacksburg, died suddenly of a heart attack on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital. He was born on June 6, 1960. He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita (J) Willard. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his father, James E. Willard, Jr.; two brothers, Anthony R. (Tony) Willard and James F. (Bo) Willard; a sister and brother-in-law, Peggy W. and Ricky Huff. He also leaves behind two nephews, A.J. and Jacob Willard, and a very special niece, Kaitlin Huff. He also leaves behind his aunt, Patricia Orr of California and numerous other relatives. He will be greatly missed by all his numerous friends and family as Dean was a giving person and there wasn’t anyone whom he wouldn?t lend a helping hand. He truly had a heart of gold. Memorial services will be held at the Blacksburg United Methodist Church, 111 Church Street, Blacksburg, on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Reggie Tuck officiating. Reception will immediately follow in the Fellowship Hall at the church. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
