Dean, Charles William

Charles William Dean, 80, of Pearisburg, and formerly of Hendrickson Farm in Pembroke, departed this life on Friday, August 19, 2011, at his home on Curve Road. Born in Pembroke on July 19, 1931, he was a son of the late George W. Albert and Elizabeth Meredith Albert Dean and adopted son of the late Robert Dean. He had worked as a laborer on construction and on the farm and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Loraine Vallencourt Dean; and a brother, Richard Albert. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Carrie D. Thornhill and husband, Mike, of Pearisburg, and Debra D. Hendrickson, of Pembroke; his sons, Scott William Dean and wife, Brenda, of West Virginia, and Brian Robert Dean, of Pembroke; his grandchildren, Kayla Albert, Daniel Albert, Ashley Thornhill, and Camber Thornhill; and his step daughter, Judy Valcourt, of Killeen, Texas.
