Dalton, William Edward

William Edward Dalton, 68, of Dublin, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 at Lewis Gale-Pulaski Hospital. Born December 16, 1942 in Giles County, he was the son of the late Robert Roscoe Dalton and Julia Shepherd Dalton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from TMD Friction in Dublin and had also been employed at Inland Motors. He was a 1961 graduate of Giles High School. He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Shrader Dalton, Dublin; son, William Eugene Dalton, Christiansburg; brother and sister-in-law, Omer Franklin Dalton and Carolyn Dalton, Arlington; sisters, Alice Kibler, Pearisburg, Emmalene Meadows, Petersburg, Mildred Keith, Petersburg; brothers -in-law, Kenneth Shrader and wife, Effie Shrader, Suffolk, Thomas Aliff and wife, Joan Aliff, Hiwassee; sister-in-law, Ruth Orey, Narrows; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 2 p.m., in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. Terry Mays officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, with military gravesides conducted by the Pulaski V.F.W. Post # 1184.
