Davis, Betty Lou

Betty Lou Davis, of Blacksburg, Va., passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011, after a long-term, but graceful fight with cancer. She is survived by three daughters, Nancy L. Davis, Joy E. Barthelmai, and Dana R. Rooney; and seven grandchildren, Steffony Kannon, Jason Davis, Nathan Davis, Sarah Clark, Jessica Strickler, Grayson Rooney, and Devin Rooney. She is also survived by six greatgrandchildren, Joshua Kannon, Alexander Kannon, Evan Davis, Avery Davis, Helen Clark, and Emmet Clark. She is also survived by many wonderfully devoted close friends. Her family would like to thank the Carilion Hospice team, especially Lisa Gunter, Cindy Powell, and Sharon Crane, for their love and support. A Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Blacksburg, Va. Her ashes will be taken to Tarpon, Va., on August 11, 2011, to rest with her sister, Lovella, at 1 p.m.
