Hull, Earl Randolph
Earl Randolph (Doc) Hull, 84, of Pearisburg, and formerly of Buchanan, departed this life on Tuesday, August 2, 2011. He was born on April 6, 1927, in Bland County, Va., to the late Dice H. Hull and Lula Bertha Neece Hull. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Hull Cox; and seven brothers, Albert “Abb” Hull, Dan W. Hull, Charlie A. Hull, French Eugene Hull, Franklin Lee Hull, James Doris Hull, and Franklin Donald Hull. Dolph was a retired farmer, he loved to farm and farmed most of his life, lastly working for Preston Wickline of Buchanan. Survivors include his brothers, Ralph (Linda) Hull and Ronald Hull, all of Pearisburg, and Russell (Opal) Hull and Roger Hull, of Buchanan; close nieces, Betty Cox Johnson, of Pearisburg, Connie Cox (Terry) Hypes, of Greer, S.C., Annalee Cox (Mike) Williams, of Pembroke, and Sherry Gusler, of Buchanan; close nephew, Richard (Tammy) Hull, of Blacksburg; close great-niece, Shelly R. Johnson, of Pearisburg; a number of other nieces, great-nieces, great-great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews, and great-great-nephews; and special friends, Roger, Reba, and Mandy Firebaugh, of Buchanan. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2011, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor Shaun Wilburn and Pastor Peggy Brown officiating. Pallbearers will be Ted Rader, Preston Wickline, J.B. Duke, David Wayne, Roger Firebaugh, and Frazier Gibson. Interment will follow in Springwood Baptist Church Cemetery.
